What Are Rogue/Fake Antivirus Applications?

I have found that rogue/fake anti virus programs are one of the most common infections that I find today on clients computers. Many of you maybe infected with one and not even be aware. You may ask what is a rogue anti virus? Basically it is a virus that pretends to be a program that is detecting viruses on your computer. Of course there may not really be any viruses at all. Then it may even ask you to enter a credit card number to purchase there product to remove that "viruses" that have been detected. When in reality when you enter your card number nothing will change and your computer may even become more infected with the fake anti virus. On top of that your credit card number has now been stolen. Below I have created a list of fake Anti virus programs.
